Neurology

Neurological physiotherapists focus on working with patients who have neurological impairments and deficits caused by conditions such as stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, muscular dystrophies, brain and spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, polyneuropathies, and others.

Common disorders associated with neurological conditions include impairments in motor skills, balance, coordination, vision, muscle strength, and functional independence in daily activities.

The goal of physiotherapy is to halt or slow these processes and improve the quality of life of neurological patients to the extent possible.
