Their area of practice includes rehabilitation after orthopedic surgeries, conservatively treated fractures, acute sports injuries, strains and ruptures of tendons and ligaments, and other conditions related to orthopedics.
In treating orthopedic patients, physiotherapists use various methods and techniques of physical and kinesiotherapy such as exercises, joint mobilization and manipulation, neuromuscular techniques, thermotherapy, electrotherapy, laser therapy, magnetotherapy, and others.
